How we sound on a good day.

Do — this

  • Use small, precise nouns. Lentil over legume. Site over web property.
  • Prefer plain verbs. Build, ship, design, write.
  • Set the bar by what we'd want to see, not what we want others to think we are.
  • Punctuate the hard sentences. Read it out loud first.

Don't — this

  • "Solutions." "Bespoke experiences." "World-class anything."
  • Three adjectives where one would do.
  • Promises that depend on language to feel true.
  • Self-congratulation. The work should be the proof.
